Sara Rodrigues de Sousa is an Assistant Professor at the European University, where she teaches, among other subjects, Tangible and Intangible Heritage, Creative Writing and Storytelling, Semiotics, Integrated Laboratory in Tourism, Communication Skills and Spanish. She was a visiting assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she taught the Seminar in Comparative Iberian Studies (second cycle) and the Seminar in Translation (first cycle).

She is currently Student Ombudsman at the European University, IPAM Lisbon and IPAM Porto. Previously, she was coordinator of cycles of studies and transversal coordinator of the foreign languages area.

At FLUL's Centre for Comparative Studies, she is a member of the ECHO: Poetry and Poets of the General Songbook subgroup (Morphe group) and a collaborator in the DIIA - Iberian and Ibero-American Dialogues research subgroup (Locus group). She regularly participates in international congresses in her research areas.
