Miguel Figueiredo is a lecturer at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon and a researcher at the Centre for Comparative Studies. He teaches English, subtitling and translation and has recently joined the research project MOV: Moving Bodies: Circulations, Narratives and Archives in Translation (LOCUS group). He completed his master’s degree in Translation and Linguistic Services at the University of Porto in 2012. He has been working as a translator since 2011 for Portuguese, English, German and Swiss newspapers, magazines, films, documentaries and art collectives. He has studied and worked in foreign translation agencies in countries such as Liechtenstein or Germany. His working languages are Portuguese, English, Spanish and German.
