Pedro Camacho Costa holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Arts and Cultures from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (2014). He holds a master's degree in Comparative Studies from the same institution (2016), with a dissertation entitled On the Demiurge Filmmaker: an analysis of the work of João César Monteiro. Currently, he is a PhD student in Arts, at the University of Lisbon, developing a thesis about Sacred and Transgression in Portuguese Cinema: Manoel de Oliveira, João César Monteiro, António Reis and Margarida Cordeiro, with a PhD scholarship directly financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology – FCT (SFRH/BD/143776/2019). He is a member in training at the Center for Comparative Studies, collaborating with “Cinema, Audiovisual and Contemporary Imaginaries” research group (from CITCOM).
