Lanlalit Samanuhat is a PhD candidate in Comparative Studies (FLUL). With professional experience in translation between Portuguese and Thai, and research focused on Imagology and Macao literature, her work not only explores cultural relations between East and West, but also delves into the theme of decolonisation. Lanlalit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Philology from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) and completed a Master’s degree in Literary and Intercultural Studies in Portuguese at the University of Macau. Her Master’s thesis investigates the concept of the Bildungsroman and Imagology in the literary work of the Macao-based author Henrique De Senna Fernandes. She is currently working on her dissertation, entitled “Hauntology in Contemporary Horror Cinema: the cases of Portugal and Thailand”.
