Ana Roberto is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Studies (FLUL) with a research project on family and amateur cinema produced in the former Portuguese colonies during the Colonial War (1961–1975), funded by the FCT (2025.01016.BD). She is also a member of the Center for Comparative Studies (CEComp-FLUL) and an editor at the academic journal Estrema. She holds a master’s degree in Women’s Studies from FCSH-NOVA and a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from FLUL. She has collaborated on various research projects at the Center for International Studies (CEI) at ISCTE-IUL, the Center for Humanities (CHAM) at NOVA, and the NOVA Institute of Communication (ICNova). In parallel with her academic career, she has worked as a primary and secondary school teacher, translator, and freelance editor.
