International Conference «Comparative Literature Then and Now»

CEComp is happy to announce the International Conference Comparative Literature Then and Now: A Tribute to Helena Carvalhão Buescu on the 25th Anniversary of the Centre for Comparative Studies, to take place at the University of Lisbon, School of Arts and Humanities, on the 5th and 6th of June 2023.
This conference will bring together a diverse group of invited speakers who specialize in comparative literature and adjacent fields, and who have maintained an ongoing dialogue with Helena Carvalhão Buescu. The event will be followed by an edited volume with a larger number of contributions, to be published in 2024.
Helena Buescu will also receive the title of Professor Emerita in a ceremony taking place before the Conference. More information here.
