On October 2^nd at 4 pm, we will welcome professor Doctor Helena Moniz to another edition of Café Mediático. The topic under debate, this time, will be the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society, from an ethical perspective. Helena Moniz currently coordinates the Bridge project, which aims to enable both Portuguese society and public authorities to better understand and apply the AI Act, the European legislation aimed at the governance of artificial intelligence. Café Mediático is an initiative of the "Digital Media Nation: nationalisms, identities and citizenship in the digital age" project. This project aims, from the perspective of Digital Humanities, to reflect on the changes promoted by the development of communication technologies, with an emphasis on the internet and the digital, which have transformed practically all the basic institutions of modern European societies, to a greater or lesser extent, imposing new challenges and creating opportunities.
