PhD at the University of Lisbon with a thesis on the anthropological perspective and civilization analysis in the theoretical works of Friedrich Schiller (1989). Has given courses on Culture topics in graduate and post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Letters (Lisbon University) and German universities, as invited professor. Beyond multifold conferences and publications on the area of theory and history of culture, in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English, German and Italian, she organized the translation and critical edition of theoretical, historical and fiction works by Friedrich Schiller. She has published six novels and  short stories under the literary name of Teresa Salema.
